Revolutions in Tunesia, Egypt and other Maghreb states, demonstrations against the pensions policy of your country or the usage of nuclear power – Do you want to learn more about this? Join our next e-Lecture which will deal with “Urban Protest”!
Prof. Dr. Maarten Loopmans from the University of Leuven is going to lecture about what drives urban protest, what are its effects on urban policy making, and what are the links with wider protest movements and politics. Additionally, he will also talk about protest against urban development (which is an evident trigger for urban protest).
The Scientific Committee is organizing the 2nd EGEA e-Lecture. We will have an online lecture and every EGEAn can take part. After the presentation by Dr. Maarten Loopmans we will have the possibility to ask questions and start a discussion.
The e-Lecture will be held by using the online platform WiZiQ, which is free of charge. People do not have to install anything on their computer.
Furthermore it is possible to see a video of the speaker. The presenter is able to use an interactive whiteboard to visualize certain aspects, e.g. a PPT, pictures etc.
